RayRez 67 is a styrene acrylic emulsion. According to Specialty Polymers, when blended with a short oil water dispersible alkyd, coatings will have a significantly faster drying speed than a standard alkyd. Coatings will provide a high gloss and have excellent adhesion properties to dirty or oily metal surfaces.

Benefits of RayRez 67 include the ability to be blended up to 50% with specific alkyds, improved early hardness and early adhesion, and good early water resistance. Additional benefits include:

• Stack parts with minimal forced dry time;
• Better fingernail scratch resistance on metal after forced cure;
• 30 – 50% faster set to touch dry time with room temperature cure;
• 60 degree gloss of > 90 for 50% acrylic blends in water dispersible short oil alkyds;
• An option for formulating a lower VOC alkyd acrylic industrial coatings;
• Good stability industrial coatings;
• Reduced yellowing upon aging.
